Barclays Asia Trophy: A potted history

Take a trip down memory lane as we look at the previous Barclays Asia Trophy events

The teams have been announced for this year's Barclays Asia Trophy, with Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, South China FC and Sunderland battling it out for glory in Hong Kong in July.

The event will be the sixth time the Asia Trophy has taken place and below, we take a look at the results and goalscorers from all the matches since 2003.

2011 - Hong Kong

CHAMPIONS: Chelsea

Semi-final: Chelsea (Lampard, Drogba 2, Sturridge) 4 -0 Kitchee
Semi-final: Aston Villa (Bent) 1-0 Blackburn Rovers
Third place play-off: Blackburn Rovers (Formica, Dunn, Blackman) 3-0 Kitchee

2009 - China

CHAMPIONS: Tottenham Hotspur
