Queens Park Rangers have announced that midfielder Adel Taarabt has signed a new deal with the club.

The 23-year-old Moroccan has committed himself to the Barclays Premier League side until 2016 after signing a three-year contract extension.

"I am very pleased to have signed this new contract," Taarabt told the club's official website. "When I first arrived here I honestly thought it would just be for a short period but I love this club and the people here have really helped me and I am very happy to be here.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has left the club to join Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.

The 34-year-old, who spent two years at Loftus Road after switching from Sheffield United in 2010, has teamed up again with former QPR boss Neil Warnock.
