Sunderland and Man City to contest Barclays Asia Trophy final

Black Cats defeat Spurs while City overcome South China in Hong Kong

Sunderland and Manchester City both qualified for the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy, which will take place in Hong Kong on Saturday 27 July.

Both semi-final matches were reduced to 80 minutes after heavy rain affected the pitch in Hong Kong.

Sunderland beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 in the first semi-final after going a goal behind. Cabral, Wes Brown and David Moberg Karlsson scored the goals for the Black Cats.

In the second semi-final, Manchester City star Edin Dzeko scored the only goal of the match in the first half.
