Round up: Swansea sign Jonjo Shelvey

Liverpool's Shelvey joins Swansea; Crystal Palace sign Dwight Gayle

Swansea City have signed England midfielder Jonjo Shelvey from Liverpool.

The 21-year-old joined the Welsh team for £5m after playing 47 times for Liverpool in the Barclays Premier League.

He said he is excited about working with Swansea manager Michael Laudrup, who used to play for Real Madrid and Barcelona: "When someone like Michael comes in for you, then you can’t really say no."

Crystal Palace sign Gayle

Crystal Palace have signed 22-year-old striker Dwight Gayle from Peterborough United.

Gayle scored 13 goals in 29 matches for Peterborough in the Championship last season. He only turned professional last year and was playing non-league football before joining Peterborough.
