Premier League leads World XI striker shortlist

Manchester's Premier League clubs have two players each on the FIFPro World XI forward shortlist

Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli helped Man City win the Barclays Premier League title

Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie are among five Barclays Premier League players to have been included on the forwards shortlist for the FIFPro World XI.

Liverpool's Luis Suarez and Manchester City duo Mario Balotelli and Sergio Aguero are also on the list. With five players, the Premier League has more players included than any other competition.

Didier Drogba, who now plays for Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, also features on the shortlist after helping Chelsea win the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in May.

The shortlisted goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders have already been revealed and all the winners will be announced by FIFA on 7 January.
