Pogrebnyak completes Reading switch

Russia international striker pens a four-year contract with Royals

Striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has joined Reading after a loan spell at Fulham last season

Barclays Premier League new boys Reading have completed the signing of Russia international striker Pavel Pogrebnyak.

The 28-year-old has been granted a work permit and moves to the Madejski Stadium on a free transfer having signed a four-year contract with the Royals.

"We're delighted," manager Brian McDermott told the club's official website. "It's been a long process to get Pavel to the club and now he's officially a Reading player and everyone is looking forward to working with him."

Pogrebnyak, who left German side Stuttgart in the summer, is no stranger to the Barclays Premier League having enjoyed a successful loan spell with Fulham in the second half of last season.
