Arsenal have signed France international right-back Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old helped France reach the quarter-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and will fill the space left by Bacary Sagna, who has joined Barclays Premier League champions Manchester City.

Debuchy joined Newcastle in January 2013 after 10 years at French Ligue 1 side Lille, and made a total of 43 Barclays Premier League appearances for the Magpies.

Debuchy is Arsenal's second signing of the summer, following the capture of Alexis Sanchez earlier this month.
