Sergio Aguero scored twice as Manchester City beat local rivals Manchester United 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri also scored for Man City as they went 4-0 up after an impressive performance. Wayne Rooney got a goal back for David Moyes' team with a free-kick late on.
Arsenal are top of the Barclays Premier League after beating Stoke City 3-1. Club record signing Mesut Ozil set up all three goals. Tottenham Hotspur are level on points with Arsenal after Paulinho scored a late winner for Spurs against Cardiff City.
Swansea City also won on Sunday, beating Crystal Palace 2-0. Michu and Nathan Dyer scored the goals.
