Knee injury sidelines Ryan Taylor for next season

Newcastle defender Ryan Taylor may miss all of next season with knee injury

Newcastle United defender Ryan Taylor could be out for the whole of next season after injuring his knee.

The 28-year-old had only recently returned to training after being out with a knee injury from Newcastle's UEFA Europa League qualifying match against Atromitos last August, but he his new knee injury will leave him out for a long time.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew said: "Ryan has worked so hard since his injury. Clearly everyone at the club is deeply saddened by this news."

Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul will be unable to play until July after injuring his shoulder in their 3-0 loss to Sunderland last Sunday.
