Kevin Nolan scored 13 goals as West Ham were promoted from the Championship

West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan is excited about the first match of the Barclays Premier League season against Aston Villa.

The super Hammers were promoted last season and Kevin thinks playing at home will help his side get a win on their top flight return.

"It is a home game to get us started, which is great for us,” Nolan told West Ham's website.

“Aston Villa are a very good side and have a new manager so their players will be looking to impress, but we will be aiming to try and win the game.”
