Everton's Tim Howard signs new deal committing future to Toffees until 2016.

Tim Howard is one of the best goalkeepers in the Barclays Premier League

Tim Howard - Everton's goalscoring goalkeeper - has signed a new contract which should keep him at the club until 2016.

The United States international famously scored when a long clearance got caught up in the wind in January's Barclays Premier League match against Bolton Wanderers.

He has been at Goodison Park since 2006 and has played 187 times in the League since then.

"I've had a smile on my face ever since we finalised the deal," he said.
