England beat Norway 1-0 with Man Utd star Ashley Young getting the goal

Ashley Young scored the only goal of the match in the first half

England's new manager Roy Hodgson enjoyed a good start to his career as he saw his side beat Norway 1-0 thanks to a great goal from Ashley Young.

Ashley, the Manchester United star, showed great pace to create space, then fired the ball into the corner.

There is a bit of a worry for England though, because Manchester City star Gareth Barry suffered an injury in the second half - and medical staff are going to check how serious it is.

England are getting ready for the summer's UEFA Euro 2012 tournament, which takes place in Poland and Ukraine.
