Striker Franco di Santo scores Wigan's injury-time winner at Sunderland on Saturday

Wigan striker Franco di Santo has asked his Club's supporters to help the Latics in their bid to stay in the Barclays Premier League.

Wigan won 2-1 at Sunderland on Saturday but remain 19th in the table, and they face hard matches against Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool at home in December.

"We need the fans to help us," said Franco, who is from Argentina. "We need them to create an atmosphere at home that will give us an edge as it has done in the past."
