Manchester United defender says they are over European exit

Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov scored a hat-trick against Wigan

Manchester United's Patrice Evra says the club have recovered from their disappointing exit from the Champions League.

United lost away to FC Basel at the start of December to go out of the European competition but have won four matches in a row since then.

They beat both Fulham and Wigan 5-0 over Christmas and Evra said: "Going out of the Champions League was a wake-up call because maybe everyone looked at themselves and said 'we can do much better'."
