Fernando Torres gives Chelsea a 1-0 lead at Galatasaray

Chelsea earned a 1-1 draw away at Galatasaray in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie.

Fernando Torres scored the away goal for the Blues, which means they need to draw 0-0 or beat Galatasary in the second leg at Stamford Bridge to go through. The return leg is on Tuesday 18 March.

After Torres gave Chelsea an early lead, Aurelien Chedjou equalised for the Turkish team.

Galatasary, managed by Roberto Mancini, also had former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba up front.
