Andreas Weimann signs new deal at Aston Villa

Austria forward extends contract to 2016 and is excited by the future at Villa Park

Andreas Weimann has signed a new deal to keep him at Aston Villa until June 2016.

The 21-year-old Austria forward played 30 times in the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League season, scoring seven goals as Aston Villa avoided relegation.

Weimann, who joined Villa from Rapid Vienna six years ago, told the Villa website. "It was exciting to be part of the team's development because the potential within this young, exciting team is really strong.
