Andre Santos was stretchered off in Greece after picking up an ankle injury

Arsenal defender Andre Santos is set to miss the next three months of the season after injuring his ankle.

The 28-year-old Brazilian suffered ligament damage to his right ankle in a Champions League match in Greece last week, and he will now fly back to Brazil to have surgery to repair the problem.

Andre joined Arsenal from Turkish team Fenerbahce in August for £6m, and he has scored two goals in 14 matches in all competitions for the Gunners.
