Ahead of the North London derby, Tottenham Hotspur were given a lift when their head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, and player Gareth Bale won the Barclays awards for February.
Villas-Boas won the manager of the month award after guiding his side to nine points from three matches in the Barclays Premier League during February.
Villas-Boas said: "We had a very good month in February. If we continue to show this level of form hopefully we can reach our objectives."
Bale scored five times last month, earning him the player-of-the-month award.
"It's great to win the Barclays Player of the Month," the Welshman said. "We're in some good form at the moment and hopefully we can keep it up."
