Agger wants stronger Liverpool defence

Defender says Reds were like "headless chickens" at times against Swans

Defender Daniel Agger has been at Liverpool for over five years

Daniel Agger says Liverpool's defence must get better if they want to play Champions League football next season.

The Reds are sixth in the Barclays Premier League table following a goalless home draw against Swansea on Saturday.

And the centre-back said Liverpool's back-four were like "headless chickens" at times against the Premier League new boys.

"It is far from good enough," said the Denmark international.

"Everyone was angry and disappointed - some more than others - but that is the way it is.

"If we play like this, we won't do it [qualify for the Champions League]."
