Yaya Toure's new deal runs to June 2017 at Manchester City

Yaya Toure has signed a new deal at Manchester City that will keep him at the club until June 2017.

The midfield player, who turns 30 next month, has helped to lead the club to the FA Cup and the Barclays Premier League title since joining from Barcelona in July 2010.

Toure told the City website: “I will never forget how I have been treated here by the fans, the club and the owners and nothing would give me greater pleasure than to finish my career as a Manchester City player."

At City Toure has appeared 92 times in the Barclays Premier League, scoring 19 goals.
