What do the definitions on the Barclays Premier League table mean?

P stands for the number of games played so far this season

W stands for the number of games won so far this season

D stands for the number of games drawn so far this season

L stands for the number of games lost so far this season

F stands for the number of goals scored by the team so far this season

A stands for the number of goals scored against the team so far this season

GD stands for goal difference. Goal Difference is the number of goals scored by that club in the season to date, as compared with the number of goals they have conceded.

If any two or more clubs are on equal points, their position in the table is determined on Goal Difference. The higher placed club is the one that has the greater goal difference.
