Attendance: The number of people inside a football stadium makes up the attendance.
Dummy: A ‘dummy’ is an effective way of fooling your opponent into believing you're going to do something but then don't.
Hat-trick: A hat-trick is the feat of one player who scores three goals in one match.
Match-fit: This is the term used to describe whether a player is ready to play in a competitive match of football.
Woodwork: The frame of the goal is called the woodwork. A shot that hits the post may ‘come back off the woodwork’.
